July 1st, 2009

Jeremy started the night out at Shepps with a good start. He qualified 2nd, finished 2nd in the heat and was running decent in the feature until the engine started loading up and eventually caught fire. Jeremy is ok and the car didn't get too much damage. He has to replace some lines that got burn't and a few other things, but thinks he will be back in action within a couple of weeks.


June 27th, 2009

Jeremy got off to a rough start as he screwed up in qualifinging. Had to start 17th in the feature and worked his way through the field. Coming home with a Top 5 finish. He looks forward to Sunday at Shepps and ready to take his first win of the year.

STANDRIDGE MOTOR SPORTS DONATES EVENT PROCEEDS TO THE ILLINOIS MILITARY FAMILY RELIEF FUND PROGRAM

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Jeremy Standridge of Springfield recently sponsored an event on Feb. 21 at the local VFW Post #755 to raise money with a portion of the proceeds for the Illinois Military Family Relief Fund (IMFRF).
Standridge, driver and owner of the Modern Paving and Scrap, Jim’s 24 Hour Towing, Canham Graphics, 1stop Auto Shop, Standridge Web Designs, Midwest Steals and Deals, Auto Complete Care, and Hinchman Racewear  #10S Sprint car of Standridge Motor Sports, wanted to help military families in need and issue a challenge to other drivers, sponsors and owners in Illinois to support our military members and their families.
“I am happy to do it,” said Standridge. “If it wasn’t for the military we wouldn’t be able to race.”
The Illinois Military Family Relief Fund provides grants to Illinois National Guard Members and Illinois residents who are members of the reserve components who are deployed in support of operations directly related to the Sept.11th terrorist attacks. 
        “Since 9/11, the Illinois Military Family Relief Fund has disbursed over $8 million to more than 15,000 eligible members of the National Guard and Reserve for their service to our nation,” said Jack Pascoe, IMFRF program manager.

“The Illinois Military Family Relief Fund is funded through individual and corporate donations, state income tax check-off donations and from the Illinois General Revenue Fund.”
Donations to the fund may be made by mailing them to The Illinois Military Family Relief Fund, PO Box 8889, Springfield, IL  62791-8889.
